This policy covers the Jennings Holler mobile app and jenningsholler.com. Jennings Holler is a music venue and festival ground in Eagle, Wisconsin, operated by Kettle Moraine Ranch. If anything here is unclear, email info@jenningsholler.com and a person will answer.

The short version

We collect what we need to sell you a ticket, remind you about a band, and let our crew run the festival. We do not sell your information to anyone, and we never will. You can leave at any time, and we will delete what we hold.

What the app collects

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Apple gives us a device token — a long random string that identifies your phone to Apple’s push service. We store it so we can send you a notification. It is not tied to your name or email unless you give us those. The app registers this token the moment you allow notifications, before you have signed in or told us anything about yourself.

We use it to send set reminders for bands you star, and announcements about upcoming events. Nothing else.

Turn notifications off in your phone’s Settings and the token stops working. Ask us and we will delete the record.

Contact details you give us

If you ask to be reminded about a band or added to the future-events list, we store the email address or mobile number you type in, along with which band or event you asked about. That is the only reason we hold it.

Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Use the unsubscribe link in any email to stop emails. Either one, or an email to us, removes you entirely.

Tickets

When you buy a ticket we store your name, email, what you bought, and the order. Payment card details are handled by Stripe or Square and never reach our servers — we see only the last four digits and whether it succeeded.

Photos

Photos you upload to the Holler Cam are stored on our servers and shown in the festival gallery. Do not upload anything you would not want shown on a screen at the venue. Every photo has a report button; reported photos are reviewed and removed if they should not be there.

Analytics

The app and website use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get used. This is aggregate — we look at how many people opened the lineup, not at what you personally did. Google’s own handling of that data is described in Google’s privacy policy.

What we do not collect

We do not track your location. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your information to anybody, for any amount of money, ever.

If you work here

Crew and staff signing in to Holler Handlers have additional information stored: your name, phone number, work email, which shifts you are on, and a log of actions taken in the admin tools. Whether notifications are switched on for your phone is also recorded, so we know who can actually be reached when something goes wrong at the gate. This is ordinary employment record-keeping and is not shared outside Jennings Holler.

Who else sees your information

We use a small number of services to make things work. They only receive what they need to do their job, and none of them may use it for their own purposes:

  • Apple — delivers push notifications to your phone
  • Twilio — sends text messages
  • SendGrid — sends email
  • Stripe and Square — process payments
  • Google Analytics — counts visits

We will also hand over information if the law requires it. If that ever happens and we are permitted to tell you, we will.

How long we keep it

Ticket and payment records are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Reminder subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Device tokens are removed once Apple tells us the app was deleted, or when you ask. Photos stay until you or we remove them.

Getting your information, or deleting it

Email info@jenningsholler.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct it, or delete it. There is no form and no fee. Expect a reply within a few days from an actual person.

Deleting everything means we can no longer send you reminders or find your ticket order, so we will confirm before doing it.

Children

The app is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Children are welcome at the venue — this is about the app, not the field. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we collect or who sees it, we will say so in the app rather than hoping you re-read this page.
