Lucky Pickers is an acoustic folk-grass band hailing from Northern Illinois featuring singer/songwriters Despina Pafralides & Caleb Peters. The group started out as a casual duo side project to stay busy while not touring with their full time bands, Miles Over Mountains & Fox Crossing Stringband. Lucky Pickers quickly grew into playing more full band shows with a rotating cast of Chicagoland’s talented musicians.

These seasoned multi-instrumentalists team up for a vibrant blend of Americana and bluegrass driven tunes featuring tasteful vocal harmonies, skillful instrumentation and a passion for live performance. They can effortlessly shift from mellow, folk-inspired tunes to upbeat bluegrass numbers, whatever the occasion may call for. Their song selection runs deep, ranging from old traditional music, all the way to popular modern hit songs, originals and everything in between.
