Jennings Holler Festival Policy & FAQ
The friendly rules that keep the Holler humming. Pull up a stump, read through, and we'll see you under the lights.
1. General Purchase & Pricing
- All Sales Final: All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds, cancellations, or exchanges under any circumstances, including weather conditions or artist lineup changes.
- Pricing Tiers: Ticket prices are subject to change based on sale phases (Early Bird, Regular, Late Admission). We recommend purchasing early to secure the lowest rate.
- Online Sales & Gate Pricing: Online sale windows vary by ticket type. Some presale tickets (e.g., Early Bird, special-rate, or pre-festival add-ons like Early Camping) auto-expire on a specific date — once that cutoff hits, that product is gone for the year. Most standard tickets stay available right up through the day of the festival, both online and at the gate. Tickets purchased at the gate or on the day of the festival are sold at the "Gate Rate" (e.g., $120.00 for Weekend GA vs. the $100 advance rate). Check the event page for each festival to see current pricing tiers. All sales remain subject to capacity limits — once a product is sold out, it's sold out.
2. Ticket Types & Access
- General Admission (Weekend): Grants access to the festival grounds, stage areas, and public amenities for the entire duration of the event.
- Day Passes: Valid only for the specific day purchased. Re-entry on a different day requires a new pass purchase.
- Entry Requirements: A valid government-issued photo ID is required for entry and for the purchase of alcohol. Upon entry, your ticket is exchanged for a wristband which must be worn at all times.
- Digital Check-In: Jennings Holler uses a digital check-in system. Bring up your order confirmation email or the name on the order at the gate — we'll look you up by name, email, or order number and issue your wristband. No printed paper ticket required. If a member of your party isn't with you at check-in, they can be checked in separately later as long as their name was on the original order or they were transferred a ticket via jenningsholler.com/transfer.
- Same-Day Re-Entry: Day Pass holders may re-enter on the same day (e.g., to grab a jacket or medication from the parking lot) only while wearing an intact, secured wristband from that day. A removed, broken, or missing wristband forfeits re-entry — see the Lost Wristbands policy below.
- Lost or Damaged Wristbands: Wristbands are non-transferable and must be worn securely on the wrist while inside the festival boundaries. If your wristband is lost, removed, or accidentally damaged, you must immediately return to the Box Office/Gate for re-verification. Replacement wristbands are not guaranteed and are issued entirely at the discretion of gate management based on your original order verification and the circumstances. If management denies a replacement, a new pass must be purchased at the Gate Rate.
3. Camping & RV Policy
- RV Camping Pass: This is an add-on for the vehicle only. It does not include festival admission. Every person staying in the RV must possess a valid GA or Day Pass.
- Tent & Primitive Camping: Some festivals include primitive tent camping with your General Admission pass; others require a separate Primitive Camping add-on. Check the specific event page for the festival you're attending to confirm whether tent camping is bundled or sold as an extra. When in doubt, ask at the gate before setting up — staff will sort you out.
- Arrival Times: Gates open at 9:00 AM on Thursday for camping arrival. Keep an eye out for special "Early Arrival" passes if you wish to set up on Wednesday.
- Site Details: RV sites are approximately 20'x40' and are First-Come, First-Served. We allow one RV per spot; extra tents or vehicles are permitted only if they fit within your designated 20'x40' space. Camping is a short 2-5 minute walk from the stages.
- Primitive Camping: All sites are primitive (no water or electric hookups). Portions of the camping area are shaded, but expect full sun during parts of the day.
- Quiet Hours & Generator Etiquette: Campground quiet hours are strictly enforced from 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM. All gas-powered generators must be completely shut down during these hours. Only quiet, inverter-style generators (rated under 60 dB) are permitted at any time of day. Open-frame contractor generators are not allowed. Be a good neighbor — your fellow campers are sleeping just a few feet away.
- Fires & Firewood: Small fires are allowed at your site, but you must provide your own fire ring. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. No open-flame devices are permitted in the campground or on Jennings Holler property — this includes tiki torches, oil torches, candles, propane patio torches, citronella torches, and any similar standing-flame device. Self-contained propane fire pits and camp stoves used at your campsite are OK; ask staff if unsure.
- Not Allowed in the Campground: To keep everyone safe and the property protected, the following are strictly prohibited anywhere in the festival campground:
- Pets of any kind, even small ones (see Section 8 — service animals only during entire-property festivals)
- Glass containers of any kind (cans, plastic, aluminum only)
- Fireworks, tiki torches, or any open-flame device
- Compressed-gas tanks, kegs, or drones
- Firearms — with or without a permit
- Illegal substances of any kind
- Golf carts or ATVs (unless event-issued)
- Dirt bikes or power scooters
- Vending — sharing with neighbors is fine, but no selling of any goods or services from your campsite
Anyone in possession of prohibited items will be asked to remove them from the property or surrender them at the gate. Repeated violations may result in removal from the event without refund.
4. Event Conditions & Security
- Rain or Shine: Events take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for Wisconsin weather.
- Alcohol Policy: The campground and the festival grounds have different rules. In the Stage Areas, only alcoholic beverages purchased on-site at our bars are permitted — zero outside alcohol. In the Campground, guests may bring and consume their own alcohol at their private campsite only; do not carry personal coolers into the stage areas. This is a leave-no-trace facility — NO GLASS bottles or containers are permitted anywhere on Jennings Holler property (cans, plastic, and aluminum only). We expect responsible consumption at all times. Anyone visibly intoxicated may be refused service, asked to return to camp, or removed from the property at the discretion of staff.
- Security: All persons, bags, vehicles, RVs, tents, and coolers are subject to search at gate entry and throughout the event. Refusing a search will result in denial of entry without refund.
- No Illegal Substances: Possession, use, or distribution of any illegal substances (including but not limited to: controlled drugs under federal or Wisconsin state law, unauthorized prescription medication, and any substance prohibited by law) is strictly forbidden on Jennings Holler property. Violators will be removed without refund and may be reported to local law enforcement. This policy applies to all areas — festival grounds, campground, parking, and surrounding property. No weapons, fireworks, or explosives of any kind are permitted regardless of permit status. Jennings Holler reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any person at its sole discretion.
- Lineup: Artist lineup and set times are subject to change. No refunds will be issued for artist cancellations.
5. Media Consent & Release
Definition: For the purposes of this policy, the "Holder" refers to any individual purchasing a ticket, holding a valid pass or wristband, and/or entering the event premises. By purchasing a ticket and entering the event, the Holder (and any minors in their care) acknowledges and agrees to the following:
- Consent to Recording: The Holder grants the Event Organizer, its affiliates, contractors, and authorized representatives (the "Parties") the irrevocable right to film, photograph, and record the Holder's likeness, image, voice, and performance in connection with the event.
- Usage Rights: The Parties may use, publish, and distribute such recordings (the "Media") in any format or medium now known or hereafter devised — including but not limited to websites, social media, advertisements, and promotional materials — for any lawful purpose, worldwide and in perpetuity, without compensation or further notice.
- Ownership: All Media captured at the event remains the exclusive property of the Event Organizer or its authorized agents. The Holder waives any right to inspect or approve finished marketing materials or the specific use of their likeness.
- Release of Liability: The Holder releases the Event Organizer and its representatives from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of the use of the Media, including claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity.
6. Ticket Transfers
- Transferability: Jennings Holler allows ticket transfers on individual tickets, regardless of whether the ticket was purchased as a single ticket or part of a group order.
- Claiming Tickets: Ticket recipients must accept the transfer by visiting jenningsholler.com/transfer in order to claim tickets.
- Policy Agreement: Ticket recipients must agree to all Jennings Holler policies, including — but not limited to — camping, general policies, and ticketing.
- Identifying Information: The ticket recipient agrees to provide Jennings Holler the same identifying information that would normally be provided at time of purchase (name, email address, phone, etc.) in order to properly identify you as a guest of Jennings Holler.
- Third-Party Resale & Scalping: Jennings Holler does not verify, guarantee, or support tickets purchased through unauthorized third-party brokers (e.g., StubHub, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, ticket resale apps). If a transferred ticket is determined to be fraudulent, duplicated, or previously claimed, the Holder will be denied entry without refund or recourse against Jennings Holler. The only legitimate way to transfer a ticket is through jenningsholler.com/transfer.
7. SMS Messaging
- Order & Event Texts (Transactional): By providing a phone number at checkout and completing your purchase, you agree to receive text messages from Jennings Holler about your order, gate information, schedule changes, and important event updates. These messages are part of fulfilling your ticket purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out anytime.
- Promotional Texts (Optional): You may separately opt in at checkout to receive promotional offers, new event announcements, and ticket-sale alerts. This opt-in is not required to purchase a ticket. Msg frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel at any time, or HELP for support.
- Carriers & Rates: Messages are delivered through Twilio across all major U.S. carriers. Standard message and data rates may apply, as determined by your wireless provider. Jennings Holler does not charge for messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy: Jennings Holler will never sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for their marketing. We use it only to send the messages described above.
- Full SMS Terms: For complete messaging policy details, see jenningsholler.com/sms-terms/.
8. A Note on Our Furry & Feathered Friends
- The Holler is a Working Homestead: We share our home with free-ranging cats, chickens, and ducks. To protect their safety (and your dog's peace of mind), we have strict pet rules — please read carefully before deciding to bring a dog.
- Regular Events & Saloon Nights: Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome during regular (non-festival) events. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dog and keeping them under control at all times.
- Entire-Property Festivals — NO Dogs: Dogs are not permitted on Jennings Holler property during festivals that take place on the entire property (e.g., Wave That Flag, Spirit of the Fire). This is non-negotiable and applies to camping vehicles, RVs, and tents.
- Crowd-Anxious Dogs: The Holler can get quite lively, with kids running around and excited crowds throughout the property. If your dog isn't comfortable or calm in large groups of people, around children, or in unfamiliar environments, they'll likely be much happier (and safer) staying at home.
- Service Animals: Service animals as defined by the ADA (dogs individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability) are always welcome, including during entire-property festivals. We ask guests to please respect this policy in good faith — emotional-support animals, companion pets, and "in-training" pets do not qualify as service animals under federal law and are subject to the rules above. Misrepresenting a pet as a service animal puts our other animals, our guests, and you at risk; please don't push it.
Acceptance of Terms: By purchasing a ticket, holding a valid pass, or entering the Jennings Holler property, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms, conditions, and policies outlined above. These terms apply universally to all attendees, vendors, volunteers, and guests.
Comprehensive Release of Liability: By entering Jennings Holler property, the Holder voluntarily assumes all risks, hazards, and dangers incidental to the event, including the risk of severe personal injury, illness, or lost, stolen, or damaged personal property. The Holder expressly releases Jennings Holler, the Event Organizer, property owners, performers, contractors, and their respective employees and agents from any and all claims arising from attendance.
Be kind, drink water, share with your neighbor.
